About You

You are a consummate professional who loves conducting assessments, and may also enjoy providing therapy.  You have a passion for conducting tailored, client centred psychological assessments focusing on strengths and challenges.

You take great pride in conducting thorough assessments. You have honed your capacity to put the puzzle pieces together, interpret complex data and mould helpful and practical recommendations with well written reports. You enjoy assisting individuals and their families in navigating a way forward towards ongoing growth and development.

You are passionate and dedicated about your clients, the quality of services you provide, and the outcomes your clients receive. You thrive on this, and find it extremely rewarding. You are a reflective practitioner, a lifelong learner, and deeply value clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

You are skilled in conducing Psychological Assessments including:

  • Cognitive Assessments
  • Academic Assessments
  • Educational/Learning Assessments
  • Gifted and Talented Assessments and early entry programs
  • School readiness
  • Behavioural Assessments including ODD, Conduct Disorder and screening for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Advantageous if experienced with

  • Working across the ages
  • Adaptive Behaviour and Functional skills Assessments
  • Intellectual Disability Assessments
  • Other Neuropsychological Assessments including Dementia and Traumatic Brain Injury Assessments

About our Canberra Rooms

Based in the Belconnen and Gungahlin town centres, we are close to major arterial roads and boast onsite parking, loads of natural light and lifts for accessibility. We are close to public transport, shops, good schools, good coffee, food, gyms and shops. Our Belconnen rooms boast stunning views, easy access to walk around the lake at lunch time, plus end of journey facilities including showers, lockers and a bicycle tyre repair station. We have a dedicated Groups Room and an Assessment Room for psychometric testing.

About the Role

The role would suit an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Neuropsychologist, School Psychologist, Clinical or General Psychologist with passion and experience in psychometric assessments for adults and/or children.

This is a full-time employee or Independent Contractor position, although part-time will be considered (minimum 3 days per week).
