The Role – Receptionist / Administrative Officer

We are seeking an outstanding Receptionist / Administrative Officer to provide high-level support services to our expanding clinical and management team. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, highly skilled team dedicated to achieving excellence. The successful candidate will  work between both practices – Belconnen & Gungahlin

The Ideal Person

Our ideal person is an experienced and confident administrator who is detail oriented, takes pride in their work and is passionate about providing the best possible service while working independently with a high level of support.

We are looking for an energetic, mature and well-presented individual who can deliver a professional and consistently welcoming atmosphere, and high standard of administrative support to enable the smooth running of the office. You will answer directly to the Administration Manager.

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • Highly motivated, organised, administrative professional with demonstrated initiative.
  • Demonstrate maturity.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Capacity to adapt to change and work well in a fast paced environment.
  • Team player with highly developed people skills, warmth and diplomacy.
  • Excellent time management. Able to prioritise competing demands to deliver on time.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Calm nature and ability to problem-solve independently in a fast paced environment.
  • An understanding of client privacy and confidentiality needs.
  • An excellent work ethic, personal presentation and telephone skills a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a welcoming demeanour.
  • Excellent computer skills, including all aspects of Microsoft Office.
  • Current ACT working with vulnerable people card.
  • Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation.
  • National Police Check clearance.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role as a Receptionist / Administrative Officer.
  • Knowledge of the Power Diary practice management system, or similar.
  • Experience in a similar role in an Allied Health Setting.

Salary Details

We pay hourly rates above the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010. This will depend on the level of experience, skill and expertise required to undertake the role.
