After living overseas, Holly returned to Canberra and established Northside Psychology in 2007. Holly’s main area of focus is on supporting individuals with trauma and anxiety issues. In addition, Holly’s interest in emerging neuro-plasticity research is woven into her therapeutic work to assist clients in understanding their reactions, experiences and in their path toward change.
In addition to her private practice experience, Holly has experience with asylum seekers, torture and trauma survivors, seriously emotionally disturbed children, Vocational Rehabilitation, Workers’ Compensation and Compulsory Third Party Accidents, and Employee Assistance Programs. Her Master’s thesis explored clinical use of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat Post Traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD). Holly works with adults and couples and is a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Holly is passionate about her work and practices a solution focus across a range of therapies. These predominantly include: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuropsychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.
