Evidence-based program delivered by experienced psychologists
Is a child or young person finding friendships, emotions or social situations challenging?
The Secret Agent Society® (SAS) program is an evidence-based social skills group designed for children aged 8–12 who need extra support navigating everyday life.
Through structured sessions, practical strategies and engaging activities, children learn how to feel happier, calmer and more confident in social situations.
What will be learned
Children and young people will develop practical skills to:
- Recognise and understand emotions in themselves and others
- Express feelings in appropriate and effective ways
- Manage anxiety, frustration and anger
- Build and maintain friendships
- Communicate and interact more confidently with peers
- Cope with mistakes, challenges and new situations
- Handle teasing, conflict and social misunderstandings
How the program works
The SAS program combines evidence-based therapy with an engaging, structured format.
Children participate in:
- Weekly small group sessions with trained psychologists
- Guided activities, role-play and real-life scenarios
- “Secret agent” themed missions that reinforce learning
- Between-session practice to build real-world skills
Parents and caregivers are also supported through dedicated sessions that help reinforce strategies at home.
Why this program is different
Unlike general social skills programs, SAS uses a structured, evidence-based approach with measurable outcomes.
Children don’t just learn skills, they practise and apply them in real-life situations, supported by:
- Skill tracking and progress monitoring
- Structured program modules
- Ongoing feedback and guidance
By the end of the program, children are better equipped to:
- Navigate friendships with confidence
- Understand and manage their emotions
- Respond more effectively in social situations
- Feel more capable at school and in everyday life
