Cognitive Assessments for Adults
We are proud to be able to provide our cognitive assessments online via Telehealth across Australia.
Cognitive Assessments, also called Intelligence or IQ Tests, measure your cognitive ability. This assessment tests your thinking and problem-solving skills, and indicates your ability to learn. It is not a test of language, reading, writing or mathematics.
A Cognitive Assessment can be administered for:
- General IQ Testing
- Gifted and Talented Identification
- Intellectual Disability, including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia
The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, Australian and New Zealand Standardised Edition (WAIS-IV) is designed to measure intelligence and cognitive ability in adults and older adolescents ranging from 16 to 90 years old. A cognitive assessment is a test of thinking and problem-solving skills. The WAIS generates a Full Scale IQ that represents an individuals general intellectual ability or global cognitive functioning. It also provides four primary index scores: Verbal Comprehension Index, Perceptual Reasoning Index, Working Memory Index, and Processing Speed Index.
