About Adriana

Originally from South Africa, Adriana has worked in both the education and corporate sector, before moving into private practice as a Psychologist. Adriana has Master degrees in Organisational- and Clinical Psychology with a focus on Positive Psychology practices, and membership with both the Australian ADHD Professionals Association and the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.

Adriana has over a decade's experience working with diverse clients, providing brief solutions-focused support and longer-term evidence-based treatment for mood-related difficulties. Adriana has a keen interest in brain-based therapies and neuropsychology. She uses principles of neuropsychotherapy with an underpinning in counselling approaches like Person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including schema exploration), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist clients in working through their challenges. She typically works with young adults seeking assistance with adjustment difficulties (including adjustment to recent diagnosis of ADHD as adult), perfectionism, anxiety, procrastination, relationship difficulties, work and/or study stress, burnout and low self-esteem.

How Adriana might support you

Adriana regards herself as a warm and approachable practitioner who values the unique experience that everyone brings to the various challenges they face in life. As a practitioner, she aims to provide a safe, secure, and supportive therapeutic space to help clients overcome (and sometimes around) these difficulties, and realise their potential.
