About Nathaly

Please note Nathaly is able to deliver therapy in English and Spanish.

Nathaly is a caring and empathetic Registered Psychologist with extensive experience in private practice, hospital, forensic settings and non-for profit community organisations. She is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI). Nathaly strongly believes that people can work towards living their best lives and that change is possible. She strives to support her clients through their journey of change regardless of where they are in a way that is collaborative and compassionate.

Nathaly has a special interest in anxiety, trauma, chronic illness and psycho-oncology. She has dedicated part of her work experience and training to support cancer patients and their families through their journey. Her experience working overseas and then migrating to Australia in 2017 has strengthened her intercultural competencies to work with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. Nathaly has worked with migrants to address issues related to cultural-transition, migration grief, acculturation and adaptation to a new environment.

Nathaly is interested in creating a warm, comfortable and supportive environment that fosters a sense of security for her clients, enabling them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.  Her ultimate objective is to collaborate with her clients, empowering them with the tools and confidence needed to lead their lives to the fullest extent. She is a strong advocate for nurturing authentic and profound therapeutic relationships with her clients, built upon the pillars of trust, acceptance, and respect.

She incorporates different evidence-based treatments in her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
