About Carol
Carol is a Registered Psychologist with experience working across private practice, community mental health, health psychology, and military psychological services.
She provides warm, evidence-based support to individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns, and is particularly passionate about helping clients work through meaningful and lasting change.
Carol has a strong clinical interest in trauma across the spectrum, including anxiety and adjustment difficulties through to complex PTSD and dissociation. She has undertaken advanced training in trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR, EMDR 2.0, TF-CBT and Ego State Therapy. In her work, she integrates these approaches with CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based strategies, tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs.
How Carol might support you
Carol offers a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to talk openly about what has been occurring for them. She understands that starting therapy can feel daunting, so takes things at a pace that feels comfortable and works with clients to build a sense of trust and safety.
Her approach is tailored to each person, and will range from simply supportive, right through to brief and solutions focused, depending on what is needed at any given session. Carol works collaboratively with her clients to make sense of their experiences, identify what is feeling stuck or overwhelming, and work towards practical and meaningful change. Carol draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including trauma-informed therapies, CBT, ACT and mindfulness, and adapt these to suit individual needs.
Carol supports her clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, phobias, concerns around self esteem and self-worth, service related concerns, and health diagnoses. My aim is to help you feel more understood, better equipped to manage challenges, and more confident moving forward.
