About Deepti

Deepti is a Provisional Psychologist, and sessions with them do not attract Medicare or Private Health Fund rebates.

Deepti is a placement student undertaking a short-term placement as part of completing Masters in Clinical Psychology at University of Canberra.

Deepti takes a person-centred approach, respecting people’s agency, diverse perspectives and backgrounds. She believes a strong therapeutic relationship and a sense of safety and understanding are essential for interventions to be effective. She strives to integrate values of inclusion, authenticity, compassion, and care into her work.

Her previous clinical placements have provided her with experience in working with anxiety, phobias, ADHD, autism, depression, and emotional dysregulation. She also had the opportunity to work in a paediatric hospital supporting young people with psychosocial stressors related to chronic health conditions (for example, type-1 diabetes, functional neurological disorder, cerebral palsy). Working as a provisional psychologist as part of her Master's degree ensures she receives regular training in evidence-based practices and the latest guidelines, along with supervision to guide her work.

How Deepti might support you

Deepti values collaboration and creativity to tailor interventions to the client’s needs and strives to create a space that is safe, supportive and viable for meaningful change and growth. She primarily practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), as required.

Deepti is interested in supporting people with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, intercultural or migration adaptation, life transitions, and stress and complicated grief related to chronic health conditions. She is passionate about working with neurodiversity, particularly women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals, through an affirmative lens focused on exploring and understanding their unique identities and strengths.
