About Julia

Please note that Julia is an assessing clinician, and does not currently provide therapy at Northside.

Julia is a Registered Psychologist who predominantly works with children, adolescents and their families. She has dual qualifications in Psychology and Teaching. Julia has spent several years employed within education as a Psychologist and within private practice.

Julia is experienced in conducting a variety of psychometric assessments measuring cognitive ability, academic skills, adaptive functioning, attention and behavioural difficulties across the lifespan. She has a particular interest in Specific Learning Disorders, after working in school settings over the years and observing the impacts of learning difficulties on children and adolescents self image and engagement at school.

How Julia might support you

Julia is a warm, compassionate and authentic child and adolescent Psychologist. Julia's strengths include her ability to relate to young clients with a non-judgmental, empathic approach, with a touch of humour thrown in. She has found this approach provides the foundation for a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance to be built with young clients.

Julia can support you or your child in exploring any areas of concern within their cognition, behaviour or development through comprehensive psychometric assessment. The results and recommendations provided from such assessments can help both the individual, their family and school learn how to work with and best support their strengths and difficulties.
