About Michelle

Michelle is a registered psychologist with many years of experience in providing therapy to adults and adolescents. She was always keen to work in a career in which she could help others and psychology was the perfect fit. Her calm and empathetic nature helps clients to feel safe so they can truly be themselves in the therapy room.

Michelle has experience working with adults with serious mental illness as well as young people aged 12 and over, may of whom presented with risk concerns including self harm. She utilises cognitive approaches (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and draws from the fundamentals of brain-based science and interpersonal neurobiology.

How Michelle might support you

Michelle endeavours to help all clients feel comfortable and supported, and will work with clients on the issues most important to them, when they feel ready. She utilises a person-centred approach to all sessions – the focus in on the client, their particular needs and goals, and building a positive therapeutic relationship. She is able to work with people on a range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, fears, stress, loss and grief, and emotion regulation.
